He needs to bring along a few things.
He needs a pen to write or describe.
He needs a pan to fly an egg or two.
He needs to carry along a sleeping bag
and a backpack.
He needs some clothes pegs, too.
He needs to bring three or four apples.
He wants to eat an apple a day
so that he is able to keep the doctor away.

Jet, Dr. Vet’s pet dog likes to go to the park so much.                   
He barks furiously when it is time to go to the park.
But when he hears Mdm Chan batter in the kitchen
and Dr. Vet patter on the phone,
Jet will bark out loud to remind them
that he wants to go to the park.
However, if he is not attended to.
His bark would turn into a howl.
He would pow-bow (ˈpaubau) all the time.
He behaves more like a pest than a pet.
Dr. Vet thinks it not the best dog he has kept.
Mdm Chan bets Dr. Vet would like to beat it in the peat.

The weather is bad.                                                           
Sean feels cold and bored.
So, he stays in bed to draw, read or dream.
He has drawn a big pig
beside a small bin
and some safety pins.
He is reading a book about a big pig.
The big pig has a small bin
and some safety pins.
When he is taking a nap,
a bat always flies in the sty to pat him.
He almost nabs the bat in the act.
