Consonant + Vowel  /ju:/     [u, ew, you ]      you   162

Mdm Chan, Sean’s mum has bought him
a brand new wrist watch.
It was water-proof and automatic.
Sean likes it very much.
He wears it to school.
He wears it to bed.
It is unique though it looks like a duplicate (ˈdju:plIkeIt)
of his dad’s old watch.
The watch, Dr. Vet used to wear in his youth
when he went around on duty (/ˈdju:tI/).
There are few (/fju:/) of this kind around nowadays
The front view (/vju:/) of Sean’s watch is very attractive.
Jean likes Sean’s watch, too.
But Sean refuses (/rIˈfju:zǝz/) to lend her
to wear just for a while.
To pacify Jean, Mdm Chan gave her
the old watch to wear.
Dr. Vet is amused (ǝˈmju:zd) at the sight
when Jean wears the old watch to school, too.
